From an idea on the farm to HIT PRODUKT
Tomaž Cimerman is a food technologist who runs the family farm in Stojnci with his brother. In a raw material that had often been overlooked, he saw potential and turned it into something entirely new: SPOOF, a crunchy protein snack. In 2023 it won him the HIT PRODUKT title.
The question that started SPOOF
It all started with one question: why do we simply throw this part of the animal away? Skin is exceptionally rich in protein. Clean it properly and bake it, and you get a snack that crunches like popcorn, with far more protein than most things on the same shelf.
SPOOF was born out of that simple thought.
On shelves across Slovenia today
In 2023 SPOOF was introduced to a wider public in the eighth season of Štartaj Slovenija. Since then it has made its way onto SPAR shelves across the country, with more than 50,000 bags sold so far.
