Tomaž Cimerman is a food technologist from Stojnci. He runs the farm with his brother, the same farm their parents ran before them — crops and pigs, as it has been for decades.
The question SPOOF started from wasn't a marketing one. It was simple: why do we throw this part away? Skin is pure protein. Clean it properly, bake it, and you get something that crunches like popcorn and carries more protein than most things on the same shelf.
In 2023 SPOOF won HIT PRODUKT and appeared in the eighth season of Štartaj Slovenija. Today it's on SPAR shelves across Slovenia — more than 50,000 bags so far.

The farm
Stojnci, Slovenia. Same land, same pigs, same family. The difference is that today we use the part of the animal that used to go in the skip.
This isn't a sustainability campaign an agency dreamed up. It's just what a farmer does when he doesn't like throwing things away.
